The status of air quality
Environmental pollution has always been a problem that cannot be postponed in China, and among these numerous environmental pollutions, air pollution is the most serious, so the detection of air quality is particularly important. At present, China is facing pollution of smoke from burning coal and photochemical smog, and air pollution is the main environmental pollution. Relevant experts in China have found that the air contains a lot of organic compounds, including some carcinogens and viruses. More and more practical examples prove that air pollution has become the invisible killer of human beings, and air monitoring is also a topic that countries all over the world must face. It is reported that more than half of the population in North China is exposed to air pollution, which has also caused many respiratory disease infections and has had a negative impact on local production and development. The most concerning harmful gases in current air pollution mainly include carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide and PM2.5.

Functions and design of air detection systems
Purity and impurities of air play a vital role in human health. To realize the accurate detection of atmospheric pollutants by the detection system, the air quality detector is equipped with sensors such as formaldehyde sensors, PM2.5 sensors, TVOC sensors, temperature and humidity sensors. To ensure that the components of various pollutants, the system adds a temperature and humidity sensor module, affected by the temperature and humidity of the current air, and at the same time accurately detects the temperature and humidity of the air and displays them on the detector display screens.

The main design system of this system is that firstly, the collected gas is detected and processed by a balanced array gas sensor. We use the operational amplifier to amplify the collected signal, and use the filter to optimize the signal; transmit it to the MCU through the signal conditioning circuit. Accurately analyze and process the collected data through the MUC, and finally, the ordered content is transferred to the display. In addition, hardware parts such as wireless communication modules, alarm systems and ventilation systems are also used.

Tools for detecting the quality of air
In today's world, the application of detection technology is an important way for people to understand and transform the world. Among them, the core of detection technology is the acquisition, transmission and processing of information resources, which also uses indispensable sensors. Three high-end sensors for detecting quality of air will be introduced in this article, which are mainly suitable for the detection of carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, and PM2.5.

1) Metal oxide semiconductor sensorsMetal oxide semiconductor sensors mainly use the adsorption of the air to be measured to change its conductivity and then change its resistance. Finally, by comparing the current changes, a corresponding display is generated. However, this resistance has many disadvantages. When the surrounding environment changes, it will have an important impact on the measurement results of the sensor, causing many errors. However, the metal oxide semiconductor sensor has been widely used in daily production and life due to its advantages of simple operation, convenient measurement, and sensitive reflection.

2) Constant potential electrolytic sensorsAlthough the electrolytic sensor is not particularly popular in China, it is still an important tool to measure air quality and has been used in various fields. The electrolytic sensor is made of a plastic shell, equipped with various electrodes, filled with an electrolyte between each level, and then packaged. The gas reacts with the electrode in the electrolyte, changes the balance of the electrode, and realizes the measurement of air. This measurement method has a significant effect on the measurement of some toxic gases. Using this method to detect air quality is more beneficial to human health.

3) Catalytic combustion sensorsThe catalytic combustion sensor is a high-temperature gas sensor, which mainly uses the principle of thermal effect generated by catalytic combustion. Its internal structure is that the detection element and the compensation element are paired to form a measurement bridge. When a certain temperature is reached, under the joint action of the detection element carrier gas platform and the catalyst, the combustible gas will burn without flame, and the temperature of the carrier gas will rise accordingly. The resistance value of the platinum resistor in the bridge changes accordingly. The balance bridge will be out of balance and the output bridge will be concentrated with combustible gas. Therefore, as long as the platinum resistance can be measured, the concentration of the gas to be measured can be known. Therefore, the catalytic combustion sensor is mainly used as a gas alarm detector.
